The annual awards are determined by market research conducted by Nice Insight. Thousands of industry executives were surveyed. Respondents were divided into five categories:  Big Pharma, Mid-Sized & Specialty Pharma, Emerging Pharma, Biotech, and Emerging Biotech.  Winning CROs were rated in the top 10 percent in the following categories: Quality, Productivity, Regulatory, Innovation and Reliability.

For the second consecutive year, Worldwide Clinical Trials was named a winner in three out of five categories (Quality, Productivity and Innovation) by the Emerging Biotech category of voters.
